𝕀𝕋'𝕊 𝕋𝕆𝕆 𝕃𝔸𝕋𝔼 𝔸𝕋 ℕ𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋 for anyone to be occupying the theatre; by now, everyone else has packed and gone home, and the stage is nothing if not vacant save the girl sitting right at center stage, feet swinging over the edge as she looks out at the empty seats that could fill hundreds of an adoring crowd. nostalgia holds gaze in her grip, eyes now skimming over props and decorations, a set up for the concert to come soon — how time flies, miya can’t help but think, even if it’s with a little bit of sadness, and it’s with that thought that she calls it a night, hoisting herself up with ease and turning to walk backstage, when irises catch on a familiar figure making its way into the light. and oh, how time flies indeed; miya catches her breath almost immediately once frame is recognizable, quiet, lingering stare attempting to calm wild heart. “um …” and as good as an actress as she is, the way her voice rises higher pitched than ever in front of the boy she’s been trying to avoid is really — really quite pathetic. “hi. i, uh …” play dumb. “… didn’t know you were in town !” not that dumb, miya. → @snotgiirls !
𝑳𝑬𝑽𝑰 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑫 𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑬 𝑺𝑾𝑶𝑹𝑵 he put the airpods in his bag before they departed the theater for the night, but reality had him returning to that very building in search for them. he had never before been the forgetful type — if only he were able to keep track of how many times theo had left something behind in a hotel room — but perhaps the nerves of being back in his hometown were creeping up on him, the potential of all-too-familiar faces watching him perform. a wave of relief washed over him upon discovery that the doors had not yet been locked, and he quickly let himself backstage. to his dismay, however, he couldn’t seem to come across the particular possession. maybe in the control booth? he wondered as he wandered around the dimly-lit wings, only noticing the light seeping from behind the house curtain as he inched closer to its opening. emerging from the semi-darkness, his eyes locked on something, no, someone he, too, appeared to have left behind here. words became alphabet soup in his head as he tried to piece together a proper greeting, and it felt as though he had been staring at her for far too long before speaking. “miya, hey, it’s— it’s been a while, huh?” he couldn’t remember the last time he’d properly seen her — had that much time passed since? “i could say the same thing about you. didn’t know you were still—” his train of thought was interrupted by the sudden recollection of why he was there in the first place. “have you seen an airpods case lying around here somewhere?”
