The quintessential “Big Door” you will need to unlock in Skjoldur Story.
I always love finding minigames/sidequests to help break up the rhythm of a game. So I'm including some in Skjoldur Story...this one is basically a memory hide and seek :D
Some abilities in Skjoldur Story are gained by bashing enemies with your shield rather than blocking projectiles. For example, the boost ability from these mini golems.

A dungeon on an island.
Working on a little map reveal item, takes a lot of tinkering and experimenting to try and make it juicy.

I mean, a game like this HAS to include bombs and secret doors, right? Block a bomb to steal it, then use it before it's gone!
Light rays are always a bit of a pain to implement but once you get them right I think they can really enhance an otherwise normal pixel art scene :)
