hello!! there’s been an influx of folks lately so i wanted to make a pinned post for convenience. <:]

i’m snooze and this is my comic blog! i’ve been publishing a funky lil gijinka nuzlocke comic since 2016, which you can read [ here ]! this is my main account and where i follow/like from, so if you aren’t interested in niche pokemon content:

Thank you for everyone's patience. Nuzlocke on Ice: a (sort of) Leafgreen monolocke (NOICE) returns March 9th, 2026 on ComicFury.

PREAMBLE RAMBLE NOICE's first chapter was posted by its creator, AngrySkitty/ Katarinu/ my sister, on Pokemon's 20th anniversary (February 27th, 2016). It was published bi-weekly up through the end of 2019, when the comic took what was supposed to be a temporary hiatus for health reasons. It was not temporary. My sister passed away in early January 2020. In the aftermath, I announced that I would finish her comic once I finished grieving and then tried to speedrun that process. It backfired, and here I am again in 2026. HOW THIS WILL WORK Because NOICE was posted only on deviantArt (ew) and Smackjeeves (rip), and because it's been so long, NOICE's pages will be entirely reposed on ComicFury (my beloved). Uploads will occur every weekday at 8 am CST. That's over 42 work weeks of older pages, lasting until the end of 2026 (with a break on December 31st). From there, we will likely slow down the uploads (tbd, but probably down to the original two days a week, Tuesday and Friday) and finish Chapter 10 with Skitty's inks, thumbnails, and notes-- whatever is there. Then, we continue until the comic as planned is finished. I am not going to be fully drawing out the rest of Nuzlocke on Ice. Instead, I will be supplementing whatever Skitty left with my own and mutual friends' art. That way, everyone will get to see the full comic without it taking absolutely forever and taking an insurmountable mental tax on me. I love my sister, and she still loves me; she would not want me to suffer unnecessarily for her art. But, she would want her art to be complete, and that's what will happen. THE MUSHY STUFF Thank you all once again for your endless patience and support with NOICE. It's been longer than I ever wanted, but the nuzlocke community continues to be such a welcoming place-- even if it is a bit awkward being the sister of the dead popular nuzlocke creator. Your support means more than you'll ever know.

You can purchase chapter 1 as a PDF or read along one page a week for free on ComicFury! First page is out on Friday, the PDF is out now!

Patrons will also be getting one page every day until this Friday so they'll be 3 pages ahead, as well as getting timelapses of the pages :)

i have no plans to cancel Burn Away, and in fact i've been doing a little bit of work on the next page here and there! I love the characters and story a lot and still get fired up about making it. :} this year has just been progressively more difficult wrt life things & my mental health so I can say that page progress will be slow for the time being - but yes, atm i'm going to continue!!

hii im sorry for the ask in case this is an uncomfortable topic for you, you can totally ignore this if you want! i just wanted to ask what happened to your nuzlocke forum post for your comic? i was looking for it to promo in the upcoming ganza, but i couldn't find it. i totally understand if you just deleted because thats what you wanted to do, but i ask in case there was somehow a mistake?

If DeviantArt is really going down the drain, do you have any plans to mirror Burn Away on to another site, like Tapas? I know you have the Comicfury, but for people who that might not work for is there a plan for other options?

unfortunately, at this point, comicfury is the only other site i've been able to successfully mirror the comic on, period. u___u the nature of my page format makes more traditional/popular hosting platforms nigh unusable.

i may give tapas another try, but when i last attempted it, i had issues making the pages flow seamlessly (i have to cut them up into multiple pieces for upload).

in any case, i'm not rushing to delete anything off dA for the time being, so right now there is no need to worry about losing that platform. i'll also definitely continue to look for places to upload and will make an announcement here if i should find anything else that works! o7
