Her smile fell into a frown and she shivered when he leaned in, his voice sending a chill down her spine. The wolf grinned, leaning her head back so she could see his face, placing their lips only inches apart. She wasnāt going to play fair now either, that just didnāt seem right. The flash of silver caught her attention and a very real, very sinister tone wrapped itself around her voice.Ā
āOh whats a poor girl to doā she breathed feigning fear, her blue eyes going wide for a moment until she dropped the act and huffed. āDarling, If you want the old fashioned way then I suggest you put that knife away and question me like a real man.ā
For a moment Sebastian wondered if he should be disappointed. There had been a few times theyād chosen someone to work for them and they just couldnāt hack it, so Seb had to ātake careā of them. He saw that her fear was faked, but she wasnāt stupid enough to pretend the knife wasnāt there so she was in the clear for the moment.
āWhereās the fun in that?ā Seb pouted. āI thought you liked a good time. I wanna know how you stack up. Can you defend yourself? Do you want a job enough not to kill me? Could you even try?ā Heād give her a chance, but if sheād rather sit and talk, they could do that too.
