Jesus states that He would rather have us live hot or cold. Not lukewarm. That is, He would rather us live completely for Him (believing in Him, following Him, and doing doing all we do for His glory) or to completely deny Him and do as we please than to say that we believe in Him and live the complete opposite. We can’t be halfway in to the gospel. We need to give it our 100%. We can live in the natural and the supernatural at the same time. Same way we can’t ride a bike and walk at the same time. We’ll stumble. We have to do one or the other. Going to church on Sunday and saying you love God and believe in Him but then doing the opposite of what He commands is a portion of living lukewarm (50/50). We have to be all in. I’m not saying that we won’t make mistakes and do something that He is against and not proud of. But if you are all in. If you are hot for Jesus. You will feel that guilt of the wrong you did. And you will repent and ask for forgiveness and work towards removing that sin from your life. That is showing that you are hot for Jesus and not just lukewarm. When we want something to drink or to eat, we want it hot or cold. One or the other. Never lukewarm. Trying to be both. I want my ice cream cold and my hot chocolate hot. If not, you’ll most likely spit it out. Jesus says the same of us. So let’s live hot. God bless you.
