#I don’t care to develop them at all usually because it’s not needed for the story and it’s just kinda dragging out an already established-#-past to do so. but it is interesting to think about what made them the way they were #in my head the story I’ve kinda settled on for a while now is that they were highschool sweethearts #they were always kinda mean cus they probably repeated whatever their own family’s spewed #they found comfort in each other cus of that and fooled around a lot and that’s how Maya accidentally happened #and their families were not happy and they were forced to deal with it on their own together #and they could’ve split but there was a pressure to live with their mistakes and they felt they only had each other #but it caused that honeymoon phase feelings to end so fast and be replaced with resentment they eventually spread to Maya #except while they were both scared and angry all the time she was able to end up scared and kind #Maya used to secretly wonder the tiniest bit that they’d try to find her and bring her home just to see if they ever did care at all #she hated herself for it because she was still scared of them but a part of her wanted them still before she had Marie #cus it was all she knew #but the reality most likely was the missing posters fell after the first week and was never put back up #and that house she grew up was probably sold a month later and no one heard from either of them again #and the neighborhood chalked it up to grief and let them be #snails ramblings

Hey yall! Happy to say I am back from my trip, and did beat Raider’s main story! I have a LOT to say about it, (and spoilers, a lot of it isn’t very happy about the story gulp but I’ll try to be positive too) and am gonna wait until I can beat some extra stuff before I delve into all my thoughts. I WILL say I have thought of ways to kinda… adjust, things to my canon as I’ll put it lol

HAPPY RAIDERS RELEASE DAY!!! I have been playing for about 15 hours straight today (from 7:30 am to now which is like 10:30 pm) with my irl friend and. Holy shit I’m enjoying it sooo much. Hope you all have been to!

sigh I don’t feel like re-yapping that much IN SUMMARY CUS SCREW THIS APP:

It’s a kinda doomed cycle at the start because Deep Cut is kinda used to only really understanding each other so they push mechanic away to make up for dragging them into everything and not wanting them to feel like they’re “stuck” with the three,

While Mechanic tries to ignore the three of them and do everything themself because they feel they already failed deep cut in crashing the plane and they don’t want to fail them again. My mechanic oc, with the backstory I’ve workshopped and settled on, comes from a supportive home and family, but also is a bit sheltered their whole life, so this being their first ever big fuck up that impacts others hits them hard.

Meanwhile my deep cut family hcs are kinda complicated, Shiver doesn’t like their family, Frye feels undermined in hers, and Big Man feels the weight of the world on his shoulders from his, so the idea of letting someone do the heavy lifting when they feel they always have so much to collectively prove all the time is something that combines to manifest their behavior. Everyone thinks the other side hates them because they refuse to let them do their own self destructive behavior so they can do their own <3

They get over this though! I portray my mechanic annoyed and hating deep cut a lot for the lolz and jokes but that’s part of their “I need to shove them away and make up for this” behavior and they start to bond and understand each other a bit better by the time the game starts (they had a whole month on their own to work through this after all!), it’s not like the feelings are completely gone and they haven’t actually communicated much, but Deep Cut starts to let Mechanic in, and Mechanic starts to allow Deep Cut to be people they can fall back on
