For being willing to talk about the racism in the U.S. For being willing to tell a guy off for making a rape joke. For being willing to tweet about Women’s Day. For being willing to acknowledge and move on from his problematic past. For being willing to talk about gay marriage. For being willing to let fans, and everyone else, assume he is bisexual. For being willing to get back onstage after nearly losing his eyesight from a pyrotechnic accident. For being willing to perform with a sickness because, well, it didn’t stop Frank Iero either, did it? For being willing to stand up on a stage in front of thousands, knowing they are filming, and admitting he is having difficulties with mental health. Not necessarily a mental illness, just some problems.

I could say I’m a Michael girl because he’s adorable, because I like guitarists, because of his hair, his voice, etc. 

But this is why a lot of us are Michael girls.
