fun discussion i had with a friend so im posting our final list

from best to worst we have : mercenary (cahara) - outlander (ragnvaldr) - knight (d’arce) - dark priest (enki)

cahara is a obvious choice for no.1 as from over dialogue he seems friendly despite being a thief (quite literally robbing you during recruitment). with the background of being a orphan just like the girl, cahara likely understands her the most and is more approachable because of that. with the impending fate of being a father cahara would practice being a father like with the girl. what can i say, they so mother-daughter coded

ragnvaldr has experience with children since he had a son so in the literal sense of taking care of a child he’s all set with knowing how to talk and treat children without seeming scary or intimidating despite his size. though itd be depressing taking care of a child after his own passed. sorry rag

d’arce is kinda a wild card here, i dont think she’d be necessarily a great parental figure nor a horrible one, more neutral than anything else. perhaps awkward if finding the girl is le’gardes kid but hey i can see her being good with kids

enki is a last place for horrible people skills. if he cant treat full grown adults with basic respect i think hes hopeless with a child in his current state. plus that boy dirty as hell he should take care of his own problems before a child’s. head canon unlocked that the girl found a spider and liked it only for enki to eat it in front of her minutes later. whether or not it was on purpose is still unclear
