Was anybody else feeling some sort of way when visiting the best ripperdoc in Nightcity?

it's so interesting to me that there is one massive elephant in the room that does not get touched upon really at all except for a single clue.

when alicia wakes up at the end of act 2 in the room where we found maelle there is a side room that was not previously accessible which is now open.

there are no paintings in there. no windows. it's wall to wall books surrounding a small desk with a typewriter.

you go talk to clea and it is abundantly clear that she is furious, grieving, and more than happy to place the blame for what happened to verso upon alicia's shoulders, just like aline did. in passing - both as herself in the manor and in the canvas - she mentions that the Painters' Council, an organization run by their parents with aline at its head, is at war with a faction called the Writers.

it's pretty easy imo to put 2 and 2 together to realize why aline and clea were so angry and ready to blame alicia for verso's death. by itself his choice to sacrifice himself to save her wouldn't have been sufficient.
