The Student Event Committee (SEC) is the organization on Smith's campus that holds *mostly FREE* events for students. Events include live music, movie screenings, lectures, "break from the norm," and other various events--bowling, free skate, casino night, anything you can think of! As a member of the SEC you will have the opportunity to participate in a great leadership opportunity. From brainstorming ideas, calling agents, booking talent, communicating with university officials, securing venues, to watching the event actually happen, we do it all, and so can you. Although we receive guidance and support from our adviser (the assistant director of the OSE for student programs), SEC is a student-run, hands-on organization. You get to meet exciting people and bring events to campus that Smith students eagerly anticipate. Our General Meetings are Thursday evenings at 6:30pm in the lower level of the CC, all are welcome to join!

SEC Movie Event: Zootopia

If you didn’t get the chance to see Zootopia yesterday night on Seelye Lawn, don’t fret! Tonight there is another screening at 7:30PM in Weinstein Auditorium. SEC (Student Event Committee) hosts movie screenings every Friday and Saturday night during the semester. These screenings are a great way to catch up with recently released movies that you may or may not have had the opportunity to watch in theaters.

Next week’s movie will be The B.F.G.!
