River, "H-hello... I'd like to try out for ballet... or figure skating?" she blushed a glowy pink.
Lilia looks up from her desk at her private dance studio, she had been caught wearing readers. The coach quickly whips them off- âWho let you in hereâŚ??â
River took one step back, âA g-girl named Mila let me in?â she held a few papers in her hands, they were her college transcripts. She had been gone to a prestigious college that focused on sports and dance. She was an A student, she hoped that it showed her that she was serious in both education and sports. âI have these⌠you can have them.â she holds them out for her.
The coach ignores Riverâs effort to impress. âDid you make an appointment? Thatâs strange that Mila would let you in without oneâŚâŚâ she sighs softly, finally taking the papers from the other. â⌠very impressive. But can you dance. What exactly do you mean âtry outâ? This isnât a high school dance club.â
âI didnât make an appointment⌠Iâm sorry I didnât know that I had to?â She looks to the side a bit bashful, âI can danceâŚ. I know some ballet. Iâd really like to try and figure skate though, but Iâd love to do either!â she smiled. âI know that you are the best female coach in the country Ms. Baranovskaya⌠I would really love for you to train me⌠please?â
Liliaâs lips pressed into a tight line. Flattery always helped, especially if it was mostly true. âYou want to compete, do youâ River, it says? Or is this just to better your personal skill as an athlete.â
She nodded, âYes River, River Rayne. Iâd really like to do both... I am a competitive person. I strive for excellence. Anything that I can do to better myself as a human is good and well too. Iâd do anything for you to coach me Ms. Baranovskaya.â she bit her lip, hoping that sheâd at least let her dance, âplease let me audition.âÂ
