If I could live in a library I would, I live and breathe books. I’m quite taken with mythology and classic literature, and I have a deep passion for linguistics and horses. Analysis of characters and stories is one of my favorite pastimes and takes up many of my thoughts. I spend most of my time working on my projects and drinking tea.

Norah Gallagher is not human, nor is she a monster. Still, her village despises her, she's stuck looking after her drunken father, and she doesn't even know her mother’s name.
She’d been perfectly fine flying under the radar and having tea parties with her only friend and mentor, until it all came crashing down.
One of the legendary dragons was dead. And it was all her fault.
The balance of nature threatened to collapse, causing an eternal winter to begin, and thrusted Norah into the dangerous woods to search for a solution. She treks out to find the famed wizard Alphair, only to find he isn’t who she thought he was. To make matters worse, her sworn enemy seems determined to save the world first and take all the glory for himself.
With lives on the line, including her own, Norah attempts the impossible: save the world and be the hero when everyone said you’d only be the villain.

A sitcom-inspired comic about seven weirdos in college!
Mikal and Jee pull pranks, Alison is anti-social, Vishal has failing grades, Nicole has anger issues, and Gage was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
What do they all have in common?
They were forced to join the theater club to make friends, led by the overly fast paced president Tylee, and co-led by her supposed rival Nicole.
Their opposing personalities make for a mess of a play production, but what wasn't in the script is finding that maybe what they need is just a friend after all. (Or six!!)*

Try as I might, I can't help but be a little annoyed at people talking about how this or that dystopia author predicted the current day this-or-that. Authors, even sci-fi authors don't predict the future as much as we asks an interesting "What if..." of some form or other, but I'm sure most people agree that even we mighty authors aren't oracles of the divine.
The problem, I feel, is that this ignores what dystopian fiction is supposed to do. It's not a warning about the future because, as I keep pointing out, authors are not divine oracles. Dystopias aren't written about the future, even if they're set in the future, they're written about today, the now, what weaknesses exist in our society that could conceivably lead to any number of horrors.
The reason, I think, that kind of talk and arguing whether the world today is more 1984 or Brave New World or Fahrenheit 451 is that it's missing the entire point of any of those books, namely that the things that has made the world so hellish didn't pop out of a particularly evil hole in the the ground in 2016, to take an entirely arbitrary year that certainly hasn't been picked as "the worst one" by just about my entire generation. My point is that the oncoming creep of authoritarianism, social stratification, and anti-intellectualism have been a problem for a long time, and that probably is why their respective authors wrote about them in their books.

What gets me the most about Shin Soukoku is that I truly believe they would have protected each other had they met as children. Akutagawa was a protector he would’ve taken in the runt of the little no one loved under his wing. Atsushi was the scared child who never would’ve feared his Grimm protector and remind him to be gentle when the world was anything but.
They were always meant to save each other someway somehow.

Is all this really worth it? Just to get out of some kind of a dream? Maybe it would be okay to stay here...if we just...did nothing. Would anything really change?
I love you characters who challenge what it means to be human. I love you characters who make you think about what it means to be alive. I love you characters who give you mild existential dread. I love you characters whose identities are fought for. I love you characters who make you cherish life itself.
🌜If it gets an animated adaption, what animation style could you picture this story being shown through?
maybe like avatar? But more stylized, lots of bright colors. I really like cute cartoon styles but if it was more realistic that would work too! Oh and theres gotta lots of texture, and that doesnt have to be realistic at all, like it could be a paint texture. I could imagine the backgrounds being watercolor.
if there could be any adaptation of hof, animated or graphic novel would be best. I cant really imagine it with real people, which could just be my limited art skills but eh..
"character doing a c+ job of breaking the cycle of abuse" is such a crunchy dynamic forever. what if i'm giving my all to give you a better life than i had and i'm succeeding but "better" just isn't quite enough. what if my blind spots and deeply ingrained trauma and inexperience mean that you will be indelibly scarred by me despite my best efforts. what if my abuser's influence still bleeds through at times because i know nothing else. what if i go so far in the opposite direction to avoid it that i hurt you in ways i couldn't have anticipated. what if my undeniable love and unforgivable shortcomings came part and parcel with each other. what if your love and gratitude and resentment and pain came part and parcel too. what if we both knew you deserved better but i was all you had. what if we had to move forward and reckon with that. what then

A lot of people are ragging on the 'cable diverted to avoid Dobby's grave after Harry Potter fans raise a stink' thing and while I also love ragging on Harry Potter fans being weird, in this case it looks like the story was completely made up.
tl;dr: There's no evidence the interview that this was mentioned in even exists, no evidence the route of the cable has ever changed, and the whole story seems to originate from one dude's podcast.
The story also broke into mainstream via the Daily Mail, who are ... rarely if ever honest or accurate.
