I think it's an unrecognized practice to allow yourself to outgrow and shed versions of yourself that were more socially successful than who you want or need to be now. Not every new chapter is bigger and bolder and hotter, I think that's a very modern social media "glow up" mindset and doesn't actually have any room for what real transformation looks like. Sometimes we change exactly as we need to and it's not what anyone else was hoping for and that's part of it being important and true.

It went on for a while before I pulled away* I love you... now, go pick something to watch so we can eat our snacks and cuddle! *I start drawing hearts and I love yous on his back with my fingers as soon as he started browsing the list of movies*

We can do everything you want together!! *We are now outdoors and I get into position while smiling and looking at him as he gets excited* Ready?? *I start to set the ball for him and hits it* That was great!! *He throws his hands up in victory as soon as he smashes the ball down* Hey hey hey! *He turns to you and gives you a high five* Yeah, that was pretty good. I'm not much of a setter though. *he puts a hand to his chin and pouts his lips, thinking* Don't be afraid to set it up a little higher if you want though. I love to jump! *He grins before holding out the ball* Want me to set one for you now? -Bokuto

Hahahaha that was really good!! As expected from the Captain of the volleyball team! *I receive his high five* Set a little higher? Got it! *ties my hair even higher to get it out of my face and gets excited with his question* I'd love that! Also, *I step closer to him* don't be afraid to set it up a little higher, hahaha. *I go into position* Ready!!

*he watches your hands adjusting your hair, feeling a little distracted as his focus gets drawn to your face* Uh... yeah! *he snaps out of it when you step closer* Oh! Okay! Yeah, you want me to set it high for you? Sounds good to me! *his tongue pokes out the side of his mouth as he concentrates on his form before launching the ball up for you, hoping that it was a good height for you to hit* -Bokuto

*Smashes the ball perfectly then I hug him* Bo! I did it! It's been a while since I've played! Did you see it?? *I look up at him and realizes that we're really close to each other, I let go of him* Oops, I'm sorry, I got a little excited there haha... *We play for probably an hour or so then it starts to rain outside* We should get inside.. you can stay here until the rain stops, if it's okay with you.

*he gladly accepts your hug, wrapping his large arms around you and lifting you up for a moment to spin in a circle* That was great! You could be an ace just like me! *He grabs the ball and prepares to set for you again* No need to apologize! That was an amazing spike. *When the rain starts he quickly takes your hand to lead you back inside, trying to shield you as best he can from getting wet* Sure! I'm always glad for an excuse to spend more time together. *he frowns a little before clapping his hands* Why don't we dry off and then watch a movie together? Unless you have a different idea? -Bokuto

*I lead him up to my room* Yeah, sure, we can watch a movie together...*gets a towel for him* but don't you have something to do? like, homework? projects? study for some test tomorrow? I can help you with that. *I put the towel on his head, ruffling his hair. I notice that his shirt is wet from the rain* Bo, since you leave your clothes here all the time, why don't you take a shower? You're soaked, we can't have you sick. *I get some of his clothes from my dresser* here. I'll take a shower in my parents' bathroom, alright? *I take my clothes with me* then we'll do whatever you want us to do later. *I leave a kiss on his cheek before heading out my room*

*I come back not long after him and just swiftly sat on his lap and I hug him* Bo, you smell so good.. *We were in that position for a good 20 minutes until I decide that we should study for his math test tomorrow.* So, you just have to divide the answers and that's it! Did you get it? I can explain it to you again if you want to or do you want to take a break? Mom made our favorite snacks when we were younger! Would you like that?
