โดmeet sloane cooper. sloane to kooks, coop to the pogues. a well known local who is almost always seen either working at the local beachfront joint ( tonyโs crab shack ) as a waitress or selling homemade smoothies in the morning near the surf shops on the weekends. being a pogue isnโt always easy and this girl, despite being vocally proud of her roots, is desperate for something more. sheโs got jars filled with money hidden in various parts of her room because she swears one day sheโs going to get out of her parentsโ tiny little shack and move into one of those mcmanisons somewhere in the 8. a girl can dream !ย
โดsheโs lived here her whole entire life and can def tell you all the best routes for when you need to make it somewhere on the island quick. or sheโll just pick you up in her crappy little car and take you there herself. although most people probably wonโt recommend it cos while coop is smooth and agile in the water when it comes to surfing the girl is wellย ( and maybe even most notoriously ) known as The Worst driver. thereโs def a rumor going around that coop paid off her driver instructor somewhere among the cut.ย
โด has been working at tonyโs since she turned eighteen. loves it there and makes decent tips. her dad also works there as a cook, famous for his seafood boil. her mom married into a kook family when bbygirl turned fifteen. hasnโt really spoken to her much since unless the crab shack happens to be catering a party in the 8. whatever is going on with her mom, coop doesnโt know. or she does and just refuses to talk about it.ย

โ kook best friend / so Iโm thinking that for a majority of coopโs younger life she typically hung out with her normal, regular everyday group of friends but then when her mom got remarried ( and while she was still willing to visit her ) she ended up making a really close connection with someone there during the long forced weekends with the new fam. this person would have really show coop a different side of the 8 and would have jump started coopโs little mental mission to start saving money so she could at least fit in while visited. then after things went sour with her mom this connection sort of just fizzled out. they still follow each other on social media, wave to each other if they ever cross paths buuut thatโs about it. we love awkward friendships here.
