Eddie lets out a deep sigh, resting his head on the back of the couch as he lets his eyes fall shut.
Heâs used to just having Thanksgiving with just himself and Wayne, so even though heâs just one extra person, having Steve here with them has been kind of a lot. Especially because his crush on him has only grown in the months between now and the events of Spring Break.
He opens his eyes as he turns to look as he feels the couch cave in next to him, the man himself sitting down right next to him.
âIâm so full.â Steve groans.
âOh, god, tell me about it.â Eddie replies.
Steve giggles. âSo, do you guys do that thing where you go around and say what youâre thankful for?â
Eddie snorts, âItâs usually just me and Wayne, so itâs pretty informal.â
âWell, tell me. What are you thankful for?â
Steve gives him a look. âThat turkey, first of all. Honestly just food in general. Robin, Dustin, the rest of the kids,â Steve lowers his voice as he bumps his shoulder against Eddie and smiles, âyou.â
Eddie smiles as he looks at Steveâs face, heâs giving him a look that looks completely genuine and almost⌠fond?
âYeah?â He asks dumbly.
âIâm thankful that Iâm even here. Thankful for Wayne, the lessons my mom taught me, hellfire, corroded coffin, music, the kids⌠Also you. Definitely you.â Eddie feels a blush spread across his cheeks and down his neck.
Steve raises an eyebrow and smirks, slowly closing the space between himself and Eddie, clearly glancing down at Eddieâs lips, slightly parted.
âTell me if Iâm reading this wrong?â He asks softly.
Eddie swallows, trying to keep cool. âNot at all.â
He meets Steve halfway in a gentle kiss, quickly bringing his hand forward to wrap around Steveâs neck as Steve cups his cheek.
The kiss ends almost as soon as it started when Wayne makes his presence known by clearing his throat, âGlad you two figured your shit out. Yâall ready for pie?â
Steve snorts as Eddie turns bright red and bursts into a fit of giggles.
âYeah, pie sounds good.â
Wayne chuckles, âSure you donât want something else for dessert?â
Eddie shoves his face in his hands and groans. âPie is great, Wayne.â
He lets out another laugh and walks to the kitchen. âJust checkinâ. Pie it is.â
