Ingredienser:
400 g (1 burk) sötad kondenserad mjölk
3 msk kakao
50 g smör
2 krm salt
Att rulla i:
1,5 dl kokosflingor
eller 1,5 dl strössel eller hackade nötter
Glutenfritt
Vegetariskt
MÀt upp alla ingredienser, d.v.s. kondenserad mjölk (observera att den ska vara sötad), kakao, smör och salt i en kastrull.
400 g (1 burk) sötad kondenserad mjölk
3 msk kakao
50 g smör
2 krm salt
SÀtt kastrullen pÄ spisen pÄ medelvÀrme. LÄt koka upp under stÀndig omrörning. Det fÄr inte brÀnna fast i botten.
NÀr smeten tjocknar och slÀpper kastrullens kant vid omrörning sÄ Àr det klart. Det brukar ta ca 6-10 minuter. Tag bort kastrullen frÄn vÀrmen och lÄt kallna i rumstemperatur ca 1-2 timmar (eller lÀngre tid).
NÀr smeten svalnat, mÀt upp kokosflingor eller annat som du vill rulla brigadeirosarna i.
(Kokosflingor eller hackade nötter tycker jag Àr godast eftersom det bryter av det söta. Strössel gÄr ocksÄ bra, det blir krispigt tillsammans med den mjuka chokladsmeten Àven om det ocksÄ Àr sött.)

eller 1,5 dl strössel eller hackade nötter
Tag fram tvÄ skedar och ta en klick smet, forma till en boll med skedarna och rulla i kokosflingor. LÀgg i en burk och förvara i kylskÄp.

Tips & tricks
Det viktigaste Àr att röra om hela tiden medan smeten kokar sÄ att den inte brÀnner fast i kastrullens botten. NÀr smeten börjar tjockna och slÀpper kastrullens kant nÀr du rör om Àr den klar.
Om smeten kokas för kort tid blir den för lös och svÄr att forma till bollar. Om den kokas för lÀnge blir den istÀllet hÄrd och seg nÀr den svalnar.
LÄt smeten svalna ordentligt innan du formar bollarna. Om den fortfarande Àr varm blir den kladdig och svÄr att arbeta med.
Traditionellt rullas brigadeiro i chokladströssel, men kokosflingor, hackade hasselnötter, pistagenötter eller kakao fungerar ocksÄ bra. Du kan Àven smaksÀtta smeten med exempelvis vanilj, kaffe eller en nypa kanel för att variera smaken.
HÄllbarhet och förvaring
Förvara i kylskÄp dÀr de hÄller sig minst 3 veckor. De kan Àven frysas och hÄller sig dÄ minst 3 mÄnader.

Simboro Manioc . A simboro is made using two key ingredients number 1 being the island cabbage and number 2 a root vegetable preferably Manioc ( Casava) or if you'd like then bananas / plantains.
Break the veins in the back of the island cabbage leaf after removing the stalk to make it maleable enough to be folded . Then grate either casava or banana( which ever filling chosen ) into a paste and spread across the cabbage which is then folded and rolled into what is seen in the picture.A simboro is basically a roll filled with Casava or Plantain doused in a healthy helping of coconut milk(coconut milk optional ) in a large cast iron pot boiled over an open fire or on a stove.
It can be considered a vegetarian meal if eaten alone or should one choose to add meat to it then it works both ways. Serves as many as many people as you want. There is no limit.All depends on the availability of your ingredients and how badly you want to eat Simboro.
