So ok.....

Milly is perfect. Totally perfect.

I really liked the backstory. She carried so much. But i do think the script could have been stronger so she was doing more than what she was given so credit for that

Ruthye.....was....fine

Jason Momoa played Jason Momoa. So ok heres the thing with him.....he acted in stargate atlantis (yes i remember that show) and GOT.....but since then, he is playing another version of himself in everything he does. So Lobo suits him.....comic relief...super cool bike etc

there are real stakes....the bad guys are horrible. the reminded me of the ravagers in GOTG but were worse - i was surprised that they showed 2 families getting killed.

and yes this is not GOTG. this isnt even a james gunn movie but the influence is all over it. Thing is...wished it got a bit closer to those because....

The music was awful. Worse..... it was BORING....and there were "moments" primed and ready where she goes from having no powers to having powers and people look up in awe and......then.....just the most random boring music and come on!!!! pick it up...lift the roof off....jesus give us something!!!!

like when she gets sucked into space and then the yellow sun....that should have been a "hell yeah" moment but it just didn't go there and I have no idea why.

the vibes were there.....the vibes were waiting for blondie. there is no blondie

also....fight scenes were ok but i think given her powers....could have been more creative.

the direction in general was just all over the place. All the pieces were there but not enough follow through....

example: there were some ideas....the girls getting taken, why is she supergirl and he is superman....but they don't go deeper. saw a review where it called out a reference to fury road and yep...the brides etc. And influence is fine....but you got to take it further

found it interesting that the fathers were so different.....one sent his son to conquer and the other told their daughter to be good. something interesting there....but no follow through

she killed.....and i didn't really like that....

took her fecking ages to get the antidote....like all my kid could say when she kept hitting him was....get. the antidote. but she beats him up, then she Leaves him, to fly back and then flies back again to stop him from being killed and then gives a speech and its like....dude....you could have just taken it at any point and still done all of that.

And then in the end when she talks Ruthye down...ok it wasnt that long but it reminded me of Sadie Sink just not going through the opening in stranger things........just move!!!

And that brings us to the absolute massive swing and MISS of this movie......Krypto.....barely any Krypto. And ok i get that she needed a purpose or whatever but there could have been some way for him to regain his strength and have some moment in the finale but nothing. what a waste!!!! And i may honestly....never forgive them. He was a bigger character in superman and was a full character and part of the team.

honestly it was clear they didn't know what to do with him. and it was frustrating.

Another reminder that they absolutely nailed Superman though and i am looking forward to seeing the next one
