Thinking about the concept of addiction. I feel like conceptions of addiction usually center on dependance, which is kind of infamously bad for not separating it from medicine. Anyway it seems like the central problem is not needing the drug but the tolerance spiral. Like that seems like the main distinction between a meth addict and someone With ADHD, one wants the effect prone to tolerance and one wants one that has some tolerance but then levels off
