quick warning: this is going to be very OOC for what i usually write this character and if you, my dear reader, are sensitive to dark topics like obsession, control and anything yandere-related then please do not read. you have been warned :) 

The trial was over and everyone was dead. Hot tears stream down your puffy, red cheeks as the memories of your teammates desperate and pain-filled screams still linger in your ears. Your fist clenches in the dirt under foot, fingers tearing out grass and mud as your eyes remain wide and locked forward. In the distance, a figure approached. Silhouetted against the impossibly dark night  sky, the outline was unmistakable with its terrible broad shoulders, thunderous footsteps and flaming red eyes. 

He had been hounding you relentless this trial, always one step behind you, following like some twisted imagination of a shadow. Though his eye lay transfixed upon you, the others were not spared of his wrath. All around you people died and you could do nothing but watch as slowly that storm of death itself focused on you. 

His breath collected in clouds around his mouth and his tongue eagerly licked at his chapped lips. Your shaking, terrified body slumped pitifully on the ground making the stark contrast in yours and the samurai’s size all that more noticeable. Before you could really react, he was upon you. Your attention flickered to the floor, vaguely examining his strange and tattered footwear. There it stayed, your eye somehow not managing to look up higher than his knee - an oppressive fear bearing down on your head and encouraging you to try stay as small and meaningless as you possibly could. Maybe if you did not move he would not notice you, perhaps by not making eye contact he would take pity and end you quickly. What ever it was, refused to look up. 

Kazan scoffed, his large chest jolting from his sudden expression. Oh, you really were small - small and scared like a deer on a hunt. But all his prey were nothing but animals to him, so why were you so special to him? Why did he want you so badly? Not just to kill or see suffer but... for something more personal. 

A terribly huge hand reaches down and grabs you by the chin and with incredible strength pulls your head upwards. He squeezes your cheeks between his thumb and index finger causing you to grimace and expose your teeth as his sharp nail drew blood from your skin. He was inspecting you, his keen eyes darting around your face coolly and with practiced intent. You had closed your eyes and weakly turned your head away from his fuming red face, the foreboding feeling in your gut still pestering you to not look at him. When Kazan had had his full of basking in your frightened expression, his gaze flickered to your shut eyes. Anger bloomed in his chest and he squeezed your face harder. The pain in your cheek deepened along with his talon and you screamed as more blood oozed out of the new wound. Soon enough the pressure overpowered your better judgement and you involuntarily opened your eyes and gasped at the sight before you.

The moon in the dead night sky highlighted the beast that stood over you, the brilliant white glow ebbing off his torso and sword, his white, wispy hair hanging around his head like spiderwebs caught in a wind. The Oni, murderer of all your friends, loomed proud over your head. At the gratification of earning your attention, he let out a low moan, his red eyes seeming to shine even brighter as the two of you connected in an uneasy staring contest. 

There it was, the reason he had developed such a need for you - your eyes. They glittered like a King’s crowned jewels, sparkling as your tears collected the hazy moonlight in an incredible show of light and fear. He audibly sighed at the rekindled sight of his prize and slowly forced your head to move forward to his face. His iron grip pulled you to your feet and brought you uncomfortable close to his red demon mask, so much so that you could feel his strained breathing run hot down the front of your chest. He was shaking and his observation over you appeared to falter slightly. He was beginning to lose himself, the wild and ecstasy-fueled joy of finally having the thing of his obsession in his grasp caused his grip over his more basic instincts to slack. If he does not act soon, Kazan worried that he might not be conscious enough to appreciate you for much longer. 

The samurai slowly lowered his head down to yours, relishing in the way your body reacted to his deliberate closeness. Your breathing hitched and he felt his heart beat do the same. Kazan purposely dragged his chin along your ear and gladly took in your smell. As darkness threatened to consume him completely, the man somehow managed to murmur the first and last words you had ever heard his speak,

first off, how is everyone?

second, i just wanna apologize for my absence these past few weeks, writing motivation has been an incredibly scarce resource and i feel terrible about it all. i am so sorry to you all. i have also had the wonderdul oppurtunity to have gotten a tablet as a balated birthday gift and my monkey brain has been going googoo gaga over it.

this leads me to my third point: while at the moment i am not very good (and i doubt i will get any better for a long time), i am wondering if yall would be okay with me sharing some of the doodles i make? i have never tried digital art before this so theres a lot of stuff i need to learn but maybe sharing it with yall, the people who all know so much more about this than me, can help me improve! idk. im just speaking out my ass rn.

anyway, please let me know if yall are okay with this or if i should make a seperate blog.
