Clutching at his chest in mock  offense, the Master lets out a gasp,  eyes blown comically wide.

  The devil isn’t the only one hanging   in dark street corners this fine night.   That’s no surprise. That’s the point.   But how MUCH company does he   have, exactly?

  Matt can easily HEAR two heartbeats,   but only senses the heat of ONE body.   That can’t be right. He’s about to discover   weirder, probably. But for now, one   unaccountable oddity masks others.    ( For both of them. )

COMPANY MIGHT NOT COME AS A  surprise to everyone, but the Master doesn’t make much of a habit out of hanging around on shady side streets. Didn’t your mother ever tell you that it’s dangerous to go out alone in the dark??  Unsavoury characters abound when the  sun goes down and he’s not ashamed to  admit to being one of them. Although... Could be you’re not so different. What’s with the blindfold, stranger??

Hunger gnawing angrily at his stomach ( despite gore tinged palms ) his tolerance  for strangers has hit an all time low. The   found lack of control he’s felt since  resurrecting is... CONCERNING.

I assure you, no matter what your BOSS may have to say about it, there is absolutely  no cause for concern. Archangel satelites are one-hundred percent safe ― they wouldn’t be up there if they weren’t.    

It’s only been three months, four days and twenty-seven minutes since the Master finally dragged himself out of the  War, and somehow he is already back on Earth. AGAIN.  It’s as though he’s caught in some kind of ridiculous vicious  cycle: scheming and failing and running right back for more (a   cycle which the tiny part of his brain that sounds an awful lot like   the Doctor particularly enjoys referring to using phrases such as  ‘masochistic evil boomerang’ but he doesn’t pay much attention  to that of course.) Could it be time for a change? Being good  doesn’t sound too hard, and it must have its perks or else nobody  would do it. Maybe he could open a cosy little suit shop. Or put his  big brain to work on curing disease or ending world hunger or ―

Heh. Nah. Now that he thinks about it all of that sounds terribly dull  and it's not as though literally ruling the universe isn't worth a bit of hassle here and there. He just needs to be better.
