Male MC Rights

The situation is complicated. He died in Texas, and we need to transport him to Colorado. Currently the cheapest way to do so is by cremating him before transport, but that will cost around $2000 USD outright. The coroner's office is unable to keep him for much longer. Most likely he will need to be removed and given an indigent burial. I have tried to find laws regarding how long they're required to keep his body, but have had no luck. What we've been told is they likely won't even be able to keep him until this Friday, the 27th. If we aren't able to raise just enough to get him cremated and shipped, my uncle will be put in a field with a numbered marker, not even his name.

Uncle Phil was an interesting figure in my life. It's safe to say I had a complicated relationship with him. He wasn't entirely respectable (note the nickname), which I know will give some people pause. Especially here on Tumblr Dot Hell. Regardless, I do truly believe that my uncle, like every single other person on this planet, deserves to at least be buried in the place he wanted with a name on his headstone. He was failed by the system in many ways, and I don't want this to be one of them.

Both! Mostly bc when I'm not looking for fics and they pop up on my dash, I want to know if they're worth reading in my opinion. There's no point in reading a reader insert when it doesn't pertain to you. And when you're looking for a fic with your pronouns/gender, it'd be nice to be able to find something rather than mindlessly scrolling through other fics just to find one for yourself.

I feel like people would think it's a given to use they/them in gn!reader fics, however, the biggest issue is people writing gn!reader fics with a femme reader in mind. There's many types of people who are in this fandom who aren't women or feminine and it'd be at least a little less ostracizing to be able to easily find fics for ourselves to read, ya know?

And I'm not saying people HAVE to write fics for different genders, I'm just saying keep in mind, when you write for a reader who is gender neutral or gender non-conforming, that they aren't always AFAB (assigned female at birth) or feminine.

There's a lot of queer/lgbtq+ people in this fandom, there's a lot of trans people in this fandom (me included). There's so many reasons to be more critical in the way a fic presents the gender of its reader, and I'm not saying this as like "women should make room for men in their own space!!1!" No, absolutely not. I'm saying this because as someone who's transmasculine agender, I have a lot of negative feelings about my assigned gender, and I don't want to constantly delve into a fic and be baited by gender neutrality only for me to be halfway into the fic and then read something that indicates and solidifies a feminine reader.

I’ve seen no shortage of posts of people complaining about being behind in lessons and how everyone else is forging ahead. For some of you, I’m afraid I cannot help. For most of you, I suspect I can by offering a few helpful tips that have worked out for me.

This guide is for the standard battles only. The boss battles are far more complicated and difficult.
