you take the hand the other offers you, and stand up. this guy looks mean and scary, but he doesn’t act like it... your heart fills with hope again. you raise your other hand, and wipe the tears from your eyes, then, you nod in response to his last question, his offer sounded nice ! 

you sit there, in the snow, certainly not dressed for such weather. you’re huddled up, knees pulled close to your chest, and you’re shivering, your entire body is aching from being so cold, you need to find some shelter, but you’re too weak to even stand up. all you can do is hope and pray that whoever lives on this mountain is kind, and finds you soon.

as if on cue, you hear a door slam shut, and you look up, the tears rolling down your cheeks rapidly drying from being exposed to the harsh wind. your heart fills with hope, then fear. what if they wanted to hurt you, instead of help you ? your lower lip quivers as you try not to burst into loud sobs.
