Law's story isn't necessarily trans persay, but the battle for health care and need to protect a kid being denied it certainly speaks to trans (and queer in general) struggles if you ask me 🏳️‍⚧️

As far as the acting and singing goes, everyone is obviously fantastic. I'm in love with the fact one of The Fates is a trans actress. Give me more progressive casting like this, I will always eat it up. A ton of respect for Patrick Page being able to perform on such a dynamic/moving stage with a foot injury too! My only real complaint is I do think Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada are too old to be playing Orpheus and Eurydice at this point, especially in something with close ups like this. I understand they were the original broadway actors and that's the case with most of the cast. I also don't think the issue was as prominent with Eva, but every time they call Orpheus a young man or a poor boy all I could think was, "he looks like he's in his 30s-40s but okay..." Again though, he and Eva are still phenomenal in the roles.

In other news, there's a trash coffee stand near me putting biggoted messages on their letter board sign. The most recent one was incredibly transphobic and with an abelist slur, though they're not unkown to have racist, anti-immigration, and pro ice messages as well. Let it be known this page is a safe space for marginalized communities and that I make these edits to hopefully help others smile in a very scary world. Also the person making all these edits is trans, neuro-divergent, and proud.
