Kinda crazy how q!Tubbo had been such a lone wolf on the first island. Everyone knew him but there weren’t many people that actually knew him, and half of the people that did were mostly eggs. He raised his kid alone, he built his factories, farms, and home alone. And the only time he was ever in a group he was the leader and still did lots of missions solo sometimes.

I LOVE A FILM THAT ACTUALLY MAKES YOU THINK AND DOESN’T SPOON FEED YOU EVERY SINGLE PLOT POINT AND DETAIL THAT’S HAPPENING. THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR MOVIES EVER OMG.

Wait I’m forgetting the two year old lore for Tubbo so just tell me if I’m making a theory with legs or it’s already been confirmed and I’m just forgetting.

I think q!Tubbo is a clone. And I think he knows that too. It’s why he’s trying to stay under the radar from the Feds, cause he’s supposed to cover for the real Tubbo and not let the Feds know that an islander was actually able to escape them.

Also it would make sense why he wants to be useful to the Regime, his creator (the real Tubbo) left him to take his place and now he needs a place of belonging and some sort of purpose. And if all he knows from his creator is how to make useful, big, machines then that’s all he’ll stick to doing. And it can go so much deeper as to why he won’t talk about his experiences on the first island as well. Maybe he didn’t get all the data/memories ,whatever you’d like to call it, of the first island so he just knows the large events that happened to his creator but not everything.

And! It would explain his slight suicidal tendencies, he knows he’s a clone, he’s not even the real Tubbo, just some imposter who needs to cover for his creator. That’s his only purpose. But on this new island he can create a new personality that no one can call him out on because everyone that knew him are severely traumatized, live far away, died, or are going through their own struggles that they won’t even notice.

I have a bad gut feeling, a spidey sense of you will, that Multi is going to find out how protective Ash is over Tubbo and he’s going to exploit that “weakness” like crazy.

I know, I know! I also thought this was pretty obvious already but I think characters on the current island genuinely think q!Tubbo is a naive, aloof, lighthearted guy that just wants to build trains and doesn’t care for lore.

That’s just not true, like, at all. He’s only admitted his unhealthy coping mechanisms to one character (as far as I’m aware). And it wasn’t really a confession, it was more of a self report. When q!Ash lost his daughter and was mourning her he asked Tubbo what he should do, emotionally speaking. 

And you know what Tubbo says? He tells Ash, sorta jokingly, to just burry himself in work until the grief goes away. They both chuckle and brush it off.

But…that’s exactly what Tubbo has been doing this entire time. He barely speaks about his experiences on the first island. And when he does he just completely undersells (is that a word?) the story.

For example: Fred. This is one of the only times he talks about a relationship on the first island, and guess how he phrases it? A fling. He called his relationship with Fred, a fling. Which is insane considering he was a flustered mess around Fred and their medium (?) slowish burn really changed his character. Ash had to find out Tubbo had a daughter through Fit, not even Tubbo himself.

sorry but after that hypothetical Haiper and Tubbo talked about today, I can’t help but giggle at the thought of the Feds listening in to their convo and saying “y’know what? How about we make that moral complex theory come true”

I had this really beautiful essay done but for some reason, it didn’t get saved so I’m gonna give an oversimplified version of what I was trying to say.

Haiper is the number one regime supporter and he’s really aggressive and fights for the regime and always tells everybody how awesome the regime is. Lalala Regime #1 glazer over here. Yet he’s the first person that betrayed the regime by betraying the supreme leader, Ash. So he cares and there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that he wouldn’t betray the regime and he treats them like family yet for some reason he was the first person to betray the regime. holy irony.

Ash is the second person to betray the regime by giving up on them yesterday and running away. But before that he was trying not to treat the people in the regime as family, but eventually he got around to treating them like family. Obviously his betrayal is not as bad as Haiper’s because at least he didn’t kill anyone, but by giving up on the regime as a whole and contemplating abandoning them is a bit of a betrayal because that’s the leader. How could the leader give up on them? So seeing that reaction was also pretty surprising as well since he had a similar mentality to Haiper’s which is and aggressive “fight for the regime. die for the regime”.

Tubbo is the only person who has not betrayed the regime. Even though he’s chill with everybody from multiple different nations and factions, and helps them out every now and then. He has not betrayed the regime, even though everybody thought that he would be the first person too. ironically, he seems to be the last person to do something like that.
