SleepyMaus Comms Open (2/5)

Okay, serious post time. This has no ounce of malice in it. I am not mad or berating anyone. I'm stating my stance on how I'm gonna do things with The Other Script and how I view it.

I left many warnings beforehand that this new story will be a lot darker in nature than Twin Runes. There are also warnings on the pages with additional trigger warnings in the tags.

If the serious moments in Twin Runes were hard for you to stomach, then PLEASE... The Other Script won't be for you.

At some point you gotta know that if you willingly put your hand on the stove top despite the warnings then it really isn't anyone else's fault but your own if you get burnt.

The new UT Alter Ego design for Frisk! Taking a couple design cues from Kris as sort of a mix of both- Makes them look more like a persona protagonist imo. Oh also Susie is here :)

Bonus: It's really funny that uh um in most alter ego spinoff media they're referred to correctly as 'frisk' but for some reason in the manga they use the name 'kris' which has led to debates about which name is canon

quick tetrarune kanako warmup to announce the good news! Tetrarune is being worked on again!!! Thank chapter 5 (and the current blunders of mcyt) for spurring me back into it.

I'm thinking of cutting the parts into smaller sections, at least part 6 (the next one) will be separated into two halves. Partially so there isn't too much more time to wait for something new, partially because the halves can be pretty evenly split between relevant happenings, and partially so that there's something out there if I don't feel like working on the second half yet lol.

For ao3 readers, you'll have to wait until all of part 6 is done and then I'll pose the option of what to do there, but that isn't my worry right now. Regarding how the rest of the chapter will be sectioned out is also a later wish problem. I'm just gonna work on what I want to do at the moment, and also try to not get too focused so as to not get burnt out again.

Tetrarune Tuesday for posting new comic parts will probably not come back, though.

And some little things as a bonus:

We talked about it after the last ask that I answered. Ultimately, regardless of the workload I think what we want the most is to tell the story WE want to tell... After our break from it, we both sort of realised something important... Namely that a rework would be good. We had been clinging to the bones of the inital draft of the project we made back before we had only TWO deltarune chapters! Isn't that crazy? Either way the story we want to tell may be... Shifting. Not entirely- The bones still work mostly. We just need to adjust things to make way for the deltarune stuff we want to involve- Initially just adding Kris and December like an Alter Ego R worked... But stuff's kind of changed.
