You can have tomatoes in march that still taste and feel fresh if you seek out the right hanging storage varieties - a guy named Hans Fama has been in the spotlight lately for developing / re-finding some of those breeds, but delicious storage varieties exist for most crops, especially the ones humans have been domesticating and nurturing for millennia... combined with chilling and refrigeration techniques, you get cool facts like that even most "fresh" supermarket apples are over a year old before they get to you!

I work with kids and sometimes we have to do safety lessons with them about like, not telling strangers on the internet your home address or something. And sometimes the kids wont understand why, so you have to impart upon them that, well, some adults want to hurt children. And thats kind of difficult to do, because you have to beat around the bush, both because you dont want to scare them (while still making them understand how serious it is) and because you might lose your job if you explain it too straight forward.

something i want to mention because i’ve seen it growing as a trend online is that not only do people do this just for their own gratification, but watch for glasses. smart glasses are a growing segment of the consumer market, and creeps like this are harassing people in public in order to gather content without the victims being aware they’re being filmed
