Young Slightly Wild But Never Free

I get in over my head. And consumed with love, And view the world through rose colored glasses. I only see what I want to see, And hear what I want to hear, And believe what I want to believe, When it comes to the person I love. Rather than let me walk aimlessly through a world with eyes filled with fuschia, Take them off. Take off my rose colored glasses. Be brave enough to let me see you for who you are. Show me that who I saw through a blushing filter, Is my actual reality. Be a good enough guy that I don’t see the difference, Between rose colored glasses, And reality.

I used to be floating,  In the sea of you. Swaying  gently back and forth. Waves like small kisses. Then you became a tsunami, Left me abandoned on the beach. I ask the age old question, How do you keep a wave upon the sand? But each time I grasp you, You slip through my fingers, Each time you come back to me, You just as easily leave.
