[Ruuds are small creatures that live in the grass and tree roots, snagging travelers by the legs, causing them to stumble and fall. They often leave small scratches on their legs due to the sharp claws on their front paws.
They appear as thin, elongated, branch-like creatures with thin legs and front paws, where their claws are located. One of their distinctive features is the indentations all over their bodies, resembling screaming human faces. Their color depends on their habitat; in coniferous forests, brown, ochre-red, and less commonly, purple are most common. In deciduous forests, green, light green, and less commonly, ochre and orange predominate.
They can often disguise themselves as ordinary twigs or leaves (depending on their shape). We recommend keeping them away from your food; after eating a small amount, they often leave behind traces of their vital processes. They are a good, but unpopular, ingredient for some concoctions. It is not recommended to use them for pus treatments or severe skin lesions, as there is a risk of unintentional germination. Even in a dead and crushed state, Ruuds are creatures of nature and can root even from a smaller part. In this case, it is recommended to consult a specialist to remove the growths and prevent them from growing into the plant's body. This can be fatal due to the roots feeding vital substances in the human body, or profuse blood loss for the same reason.
If the roots cannot be removed from the human body, they will dry out and die.
