I'm currently embroidering a table cloth for my altar. The design is a "ship of life" with all sorts of creatures, people, plants, and other symbols. I thought it was quite fitting since my altar is mostly dedicated to the allfather Odin.

Here are some pics of my progress so far. I've only completed one corner of it, I think the end result will be about 60-70cm wide.

The week leading up to St. Patrick's Day is known as Seachtain na Gaeilge - Irish Language Week. This annual festival, which takes place in Ireland and many other countries with Irish-descended (or Irish-interested) communities and technically runs from March 1-17, celebrates all of Irish language and culture. It's a great time to learn about Ireland, Irish history, literature, music, and of course, to learn a bit of Irish Gaelic, or Gaeilge. We all know Sláinte and Erin Go Bragh, but there's so much more to it than that.

As someone who's been giving Gaeilge a go for a couple of years now (and not making as much progress as I'd like), my best advice to you is this - get yourself a book or a language program that includes audio or video resources. Gaeilge can be difficult when you're first starting, since the spelling and grammar rules are very different from what you might be used to, but hearing it spoken helps immensely! Also, PRACTICE. The more you use a language, the better it will stay in your head.
