It’d been only by chance that he’d caught sight of the other from his peripheral vision, mind immediately twisting into a boyish deviousness as the item he’d been observing was placed back onto its stall as footfalls began to follow behind the exceed with a playful intent twisting up lips corners.  

               “The hell—.”

                 “N-no one’s home!”

A breath is forced from lungs as his his body lurches to the ground, complaint already upon his lips without the ability of vocalisation.
