A Gentle Soul

Keith let her take her time to answer his question, which…only then, he realized might have been a little intrusive. And perhaps not the most adequate either..but of course, in true Sibyla fashion, she still did give him an answer, his eyes taking in her expression whilst she spoke. “..well, if that is all you want..I may be able to do something about the latter, love.” All it would take was a rental and a couple of days journey. Nothing too troubling.. 

The vampire then looked at the mirror again, frowning at what he knew she meant to finish her thoughts with and nodded instead..choosing to dismiss it in favor of her taking his hand, and leading him further into the beautiful store.

And he did look, trying to find something worth stopping by, until at last..his eyes landed on something. “..what do you think?”

Keith spoke so casually that Sibyla almost thought she’d misheard him... She froze, not daring to ask him what he meant because she couldn’t bear to have misunderstood... He could take her home... In all her years here. Even with Simon becoming a Master, her very best friend... Even with Sam, who she had loved more deeply than anyone in her life... Neither of them had ever offered to take her home. To allow her to see her parents... But Keith, a man who she had come to care for a great deal, but had never come across as the type of man who would do this for anyone, nevermind for her. Her heart hurt with an ache to see her parents again after over four long, hard years. “R-really?..” Sibyla finally spoke in a whisper, blue eyes filled with tears.
