girl i spent all afternoon getting pretty for at the comic shop told me she was taken but on the way home i realized she would’ve only told me that if she thought i was hitting on her (which i was) but would have only assumed that if she was also gay (cuz i just asked her to hang, not out) bc a straight girl wouldn’t have assumed or if she did, she woulda said “boyfriend”, which means she clocked my shit immediately. anyway she said she’d love to be friends, i gave her my number and when i checked her insta she did infact have a girlfriend so i was right. The wasted potential of Spider-Girl and Huntress pains me everyday. I know they both have their own solo runs but they do almost nothing with them now despite coming out in the 90s, a decade before being replaced by their male counter-parts (Damian and Miles). No hate to them because I love those guys but you can't beat being the daughter of THE Batman and THE Catwoman. Like C'MON!! SO MUCH POTENTIAL

Mayday was a different universe so Miles picking up the torch instead makes sense. But then they brought Peter back and moved Miles to 616, effectively sidelining him in a story he wasn't even supposed to be part of.

And then it doesn't take much to see that Cass would be the best to pass the mantle of Batman toward after Bruce retires but DC is so hellbent on making it Dick (or Dame) even though it's been explicitly stated that neither of them want that and that Bruce would have pretty much failed at his job if it ever came to that. I'll never understand this obsession with turning Dick into Batman like it NEVER works. (Except for that one time). Just let him be his own person!!

But DUDE C'MON. 3 strikes and miss! Mayday, Helena and Cass deserve better
