okay this poll has almost 500 responses and it's only been out for a few days. which is insane. thank you all so much!
but i did want to address some things that have come up over and over because some of you guys are being incredibly mean to me and i wanted to clear the air:
most of the answer choices i wrote down, i do not agree with. they are extremes on purpose, because results tend to be more conclusive when the responses aren't all wishy-washy. i get it. the blame game is stupid, talking about whether or not someone deserves something is stupid. i get it. but i didn't come up with these topics, or these opinions. they're things i've heard be debated that i'm just pasting onto a form. so please stop being mean to me for something that i'm observing! getting a hundred responses where people are like "both!" or "neither!" is fine, but it's ultimately not really helpful to the point of the poll: figuring out where the most people stand in terms of "this vs. that". obviously the common sense answer is both/neither/it's complicated, so if i added those answers, everyone would choose them! i want to see what the results are when the chips are down.
i know the race/gender headcanons questions are incredibly biased. again, i phrased them based on things that i've heard people say. and here's the thing: OBVIOUSLY race/gender headcanons are amazing as long as they're done right and not erasing/misrepresenting minority voices. if anyone thinks anything different then, uh...i will be distancing myself from them.
being super mean to me in the written responses isn't cute. it's really hurtful! i'm just trying to do something fun and experimental, and i don't think i deserve to be insulted/talked down to just because you may have a strong opinion.
i will be posting the results of the poll once we have 500 responses! we are pretty close to that. i will also be disclosing my own opinions on each subject and highlighting some of the written responses that i found interesting!
