(i recognize it as a shitpost but have nuanced thoughts on it sorry)
i actually really love roman and remus' emblems in regard to weaponry because to me, the shield and sword represent less their literal weapons (obviously not congruent) and more how they. act? fight? behave? with them. where roman doesn't have a shield, and remus doesn't have a sword, but in terms of who (what) they are as combatants, roman is a shield, and remus is a sword.
roman shields, defends, protects with his sword. he is a defender of the innocent (and of thomas' dreams, in a more real less fairytale sense). roman Is a shield. and he uses a sword to accomplish this.
remus, meanwhile, uses a morningstar, but he attacks, fights, pushes things that nobody else pushes, being an offensive force, of sorts. he is a sword, he cuts.
i do not have a nice wrapping up of this but i enjoy the potential symbolism in their emblems from this angle ~🌙
oh yeah i agree 100% the symbolism is awesome and i do genuinely like how their symbols and weapon choices reflect their characters
i'm still mad about it but like i get it-
