> It’s been a long night. You had just finished dropping off your last customer for the night who, to your surprise, actually payed you the amount you said you wanted at the end of your journey.

>Seeing as there weren’t too many trolls lurking around the streets, you decide to park around the corner and count your earnings before heading out for some personal time. Yeah, driving people around the city probably wasn’t your go-to job, but it’s a sound business. Walking is for chumps.

> Before you could finish going through the stack, however, a lone troll caught your eye, and you shifted your focus to them. You initially watched them out of caution, but… you realized soon enough that this was a scene you’ve seen plenty of times before.

> Rolling down the window of your scuttlebuggy, you whistle out to the stumbling mess of a troll. You wait for him to spot you before tilting your head and pointing to the back seat, as if to ask, “need a ride?”

>A faint whistle catches your attention, and your eyes scan your surroundings before resting on a relatively unsuspecting scuttlebuggy not too far away. You stop, passing a glare at the driver. You were just fine, you could make it home on your own.

“no.”

>You were insulted at the offer, it seems. Sticking your nose in the air in a pompous display, you continue walking, just a bit, foolish determination causing you to neglect looking down. An unseen crack in the pavement manages to find its way under your foot, causing you to stumble forward rather ungracefully. Yeah, now you’re really regretting your decisions. 

>You glance behind you, suddenly grateful to the stranger and his scuttlebuggy. Not that you’d let him know, anyways. You let out a huff, resigning yourself to your fate.
