The creature
Pattern credit to @daftpatience. https://ko-fi.com/s/aa4705c02c The pattern is free, but there's no instructions and no seam allowances, so you gotta draw your own.
The pattern is based on an IKEA alien called "Aftonsparv" but I did not like sewing the curved seams of its face. I scrapped the piece (tore it in half in frustration) and crafted my own face piece pattern based on the shape of the finished back piece.

About the icewings--
Mirror doesn't have a solid lore and mores so a concept of it?
Basically, he has a rainwing mother and an icewing father (its a mystery how they ended up). Hatching at the time of the Sandwing Succession War and looking mostly like an icewing, it was decided that hes going to go with his father to live in the Ice Kingdom. But he wasn't as resistant to the freezing temperatures for being a hybrid (and other problems). His father grew resentment towards him and so did Mirror. One night, finally done with it, Mirror attempted murder on his father and ran. That's it for now.
And Zircon, shes just a very big, creepy-looking icewing. Grew up in the Ice Kingdom, but decided to leave it and explore the rest of the continent in her own slow pace, eventually meating her girlfriend :>
