I will say that, outside of the institution, America has really expressed an appreciation for Poch and an understanding of his role in this world cup. I wasn’t expecting US supporters to be so grounded in their criticisms, and it’s been very pleasantly surprising and concurrent with how I view his tenure here. There’s clearly a big divided between what the fans see and want from this organization, and what the US soccer fed and their insider talking heads want

The world cup has infected me with insane missing-poch-so-fucking-much syndrome and it’s killing me. I need him to escape the usmnt expeditiously and at least return to Europe, if not the prem (and spurs pls pls pls)

I was able to get cheap nosebleeds for the Germany match tomorrow, which means 2 things; I have to get up at like 4 am to drive to Boston from New York, and that they’ll probably lose to Paraguay lol
