Look at the power in his eyes, the judgment, the anger, the focus. This is Hiccup the Leader, the Chief, the Protecter of His People, and others. It’s fascinating to think that the climax to HTTYD1 has Hiccup showing his father his point of view (in the Kill Ring), while the climax here shows him debating Drago on his POV. He’s no more the Hiccup who needs to work up the courage to share his beliefs; he’s firm in them now, confident, and willing to fight for them, physically and verbally.
