IMPORTANT information regarding Gilmore here : as I headcanon across D &. D lore , sorcerer bloodlines can magically EXTEND THE LIFESPAN of the caster. The length depends on the sorcerous origin.

For me the ones that can extend the longest are , in no particular order : CLOCKWORK SOUL , DIVINE SOUL , and PHOENIX. Mid — level lifespan expansion includes : RUNECHILD , DRACONIC , and ABERRANT MIND. The lowest level of lifespan expansion , then , are : GIANT SOUL , ELEMENTAL — BASED ORIGINS ( pyromancy , shadow , stone , etc. ) , and WILD MAGIC. However , I do believe that WILD MAGIC , as its nature implies , can be extremely VARIED in its effects , but generally does not extend beyond mid — level.

To put it in easy math ( that’s why we all play D &. D right ) , high level life extension can often DOUBLE the lifespan of the caster. Mid — level life extension is about THREE — QUARTERS longer. Finally , low level life extension is about an additional HALF.

Okay one more thing for real : In his DA verse , Shaun has had Gilmore’s Glorious Goods for about 5 years by the time Origins rolls around , making him 35 at the time. It is an established store in Denerim , primarily selling trinkets , potions , &. other fine items , some of which are enchanted. He claims to have discovered them or bought them from other merchants , but he himself is an excellent enchanter. There is a second store that is in the process of opening in Kirkwall.

It is possible to recruit his services as a companion for the Warden , but he will need to occasionally return to the shop. His focus is rebuilding after the Blight , which is done by the end of the year , &. so his focus then shifts to his Kirkwall store. There is a similar sort of deal here , but it is much easier for him to be more present with Hawke , given they remain in the same city most of the time. After the end of Act III , he tries to help Kirkwall rebuild as well , but he is drawn to the Inquisition’s cause &. can be recruited very easily.
