I've taken many trips over the several years and have seen many beautiful landscapes. It was my trip to the western part of America that impressed me the most. These were the places that allowed me to see the country like I have not been able to before. The song lyrics of "America, the beautiful", came to life right before my eyes.

I was greeted with the sky covered in clouds. I waited patiently and just for a few brief moments the clouds broke to reveal an otherworldly view.

Winter camping in the frigid temperatures is not for the faint of heart, but it can be an amazing experience with the right planning, confidence, and gear. The most difficult part of this trip was the mental preparation wondering how cold will I get? Will it be uncomfortable? It turned out to be one of yhe mosy amazing camping trips ive ever done in yhe snow. Temps were in the single digits with wind chills much colder. The winds gust over 40mph overnight. The reward was the amazing sunrise and sunset, spending time with my nephew, and the feeling of accomplishment! See more of my work on instagram @Earthcaptured and follow my adventures
