To answer that question directly, no it is not (in my opinion). Although in the world we live in today, it feels like it is doesn’t? For those that have a special someone to share this day with, good for you. If you’re spending money on this day for your special someone, good luck with that pal. I really mean that. And for those who don’t have anyone like me, well to be honest, I don’t think Valentine’s is just for couples exclusively. Honestly if it was, I’d be eating ice cream the whole week. But anyways back to the point, I personally don’t think Valentine’s is for couples only, it’s a day of love that I get, but it doesn’t mean it’s just for couples, it can also mean showing your love for a friend, family, dog, cat, bartender, even your bed if you want dammit. It’s a day of showing your love for someone (or something for certain people, don’t judge). Like if you’re not in a relationship, why don’t you do something nice for your friends and family, write a valentine’s day card to them and tell them how much you love them and how much they mean to you in your life because trust me, that can really have an impact. For those who are in a relationship of any kind, take this day to cherish one another and show them how much you love them, of course and also how much they mean to you. In any case, whether you’re in a relationship or not, it’s a day of love. Everyone deserves love and everyone can show love. It’s probably one of the greatest gifts we have, besides the awesome comic books that we have. So if you’re reading this read the next few words carefully, I love you. Don’t matter who you are, love goes to everyone and I mean that. Now go out there and show your love people, don’t just sit and eat ice cream…unless you’re watching the All Star game then you are excluded, but if you’re not, get out there and feel/give the love.
