The problem with arguing with gaters and that group in general is really that they don’t really want the things they claim to want, so you can’t win by arguing against those things, but they won’t admit what they actually want

The way they talk, they hold up “artistic vision” and “creative freedom” as this unquestionable idols, like every artist has a Spark of Divine Genius that cannot be tethered inside them, but this folds like a house of cards when you examine how they put it into action. You don’t see gaters or Sad Puppies defending the Star Wars prequels, for example, even though those are a perfect case of something born from a creator being given free reign to create his artistic vision. (Seriously, look it up- the OT was good because there were people keeping Lucas’ massive ego in check, the PT sucked because they let him do whatever he wanted).

And god forbid a game have any pro-sj or anti-gg content: a trans character or a joke about GG is Pandering and Bad, but transphobia or pro-GG shit is Good Pure Free Expression.

So ultimately, “artistic vision” and “anti-censorship” just means “I want games and comics to have as much titty and bigotry as possible and also cater exclusively to my point of view”, but you’ll never get them to actually admit that that’s what they mean, so you end up chasing shadows trying to argue against what they say they stand for, and you get nowhere.

I don’t have an inspiring ending or some wonderful argument strategy so uh I’m just gonna end by saying that there’s too much titty in things in general and sexualizing teenagers is bad regardless of ages of consent or your boner

yesterday’s tumbles, which still need some work. had to make these quickly because we’re demo-ing RPS Joust tonight! in particular, Scissors Man needs to be bulked up for some of these frames, because mostly based the animation off of P.One’s proportions.
