So the idea is that the goddess hides within the white sperm whale and Giant Squid that are in a constant battle against each other, or at least it appears to be. For sailors, especially whalers, they know better than to be around them. They know it's her. She that moves the waves and hunts/protects the sea floors.

Relationships: Adopted son of Simon the king, son of Alia and Atif Inayat (Alia was a favored concubine of the king. She hid her son Ishta within her corridors. Only a few trusted court ladies knew of his existence. Her husband Atif died at war before she was taken in as a concubine and neither the king or Atif had any knowledge of her pregnancy). Friends with a godling name Solviego. 'Secret' Apprentice to the Sand priest name Aravan. Possible love interest in his guard women Azura.

Backstory:

Ishta was born in the court of concubines 8 months into his mothers nomination. Neither her late husband (Atif) or the king had any prior knowledge of her pregnancy before her nomination. His existence was kept a secret by his mother and a few trusted court ladies and servants.

He was then adopted at the age of 10 by the king after the murder of his mother Alia at the hands of Queen Elora. Unfortunately, Ishta was a key witness of the crime since he hid in his mothers clothing hamper. Thus being the primary reason for her partial banishment.

Today, due to a lack of an heir Ishta serves as the peoples prince thanks to his kind nature, but is not officially recognized by the officials of his Kingdom. Something his adopted father Simon is working to change. He has an interest in the goings of the daughters of mother nature. Mostly for the reasoning of bettering the quality life for his Kingdom.

Characteristic's:

Studious- Ishta is a bit of a bookworm regarding the goddesses of the Earth. His hope is with the knowledge he obtains to understanding the gods of their world he can better help his kingdom and in extension humanity live more harmonious with these powerful beings of nature.

Adventurous- Nothing dampens his need to learn more whether its exploring cavernous caves or strange mystical forests. As a child he has always had a sense for adventure and explores whether for his own needs to satisfy a curiosity or to help folks in need.

Good Nature- Ishtar is the type of individual who puts others needs above his own. An aspect of himself that has won the hearts of the people within his fathers kingdom. Always looking out for those in need and quick to try and find solutions mutual for everyone. He truly has a heart of a good king.

Quirks and Flaws:

Adversion of Direct Conflict: Trauma from witnessing the death of his mother puts a hamper on dealing with conflicts directly at times. Especially when violent actions are involved. He would often try to diffuse heated arguments with jokes and awkward smiles. This can sometimes make him a bit of a pushover.

Social Awkwardness: Although Ishta has all the social etiquettes that make him a good prince and blend into the high society. He can be a bit culturally naive to outside kingdoms customs and commoner customs. Neither is he very emotionally intelligent regarding others close to him. Often feeling the need to always provide solutions, rather than simply taking in and hearing the problem.
