Hey, so what exactly is Atusem? I know it's some sort of dream world, but can we perhaps get more details on it?
Atusem is basically a weird dream world that some people selected at random are sent to when they sleep
Basically just an a million sided die every time someone sleeps and every time it hits a 1 it send them
When they enter they are given a non-bipedal form and new name that everyone seemingly already knows
The layout of it changes over time as more people enter but it is essentially a labyrinth of rooms with little set pieces, such as the dining hall and various sleeping quarters that are chosen by anyone who enters
Anything really can be generated and there is some method to it where the world generates things people may like but it is not definitive, unpredictable.
The interesting part is that anyone from ANYTHING can enter atusem, this is mainly for the friends that have characters from it, but as long as it can sleep, it can be sent to atusem, from game worlds to original worlds to alternate real lives, just from memory we have an Iterator from rw, a few hollow knight bugs and literally a housecat from nothing in particular
The only other thing for the basics is leaving, which is possible
As long as you are in atusem the body is still there, in a comatose state of sorts, still alive and reacting to thing like they are dreaming, but you only wake up under specific circumstances that are sort of odd to explain at the moment
Some people do lose themselves in it though, whether that be through thinking the place is a better fit or just being too long in the world
And despite the fact you can leave
Once you do, you are tied to atusem, you will be sent back any time you leave
It could be in a year, or even 5 days
