It's nice to have a month dedicated to this since we lose so many lives each year from suicide. My life has been affected by suicidal thoughts and depression itself for as long as I could remember but just knowing that people really do care and understand is part of the reason I keep going everyday. This year, a senior at a neighboring school took his life just 2 months before his graduation. His name was Chase and he was only 17. I may have not known him at all personally but I feel for his family and his friends. It doesnt cost someone's life to be nice.

Just know, if you are suffering from these thoughts, you're not alone and you can move past this moment in life. There is a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dark the tunnel is right now.
