Every ask on screeners blogs is about sex scenes and ship content, very ironic considering the main theme and traumas lestat will be facing, do you think the show gets their point across neatly or its meant to be "murky" and open to interpretation as rolin/some reviews mentioned?
I think fans will always be worried about ships and juicy scenes no matter what. This season is definitely not about shipping. Louis and Lestat are the main couple, for example, but they don't share many scenes before episode 6 because both of them are facing their own struggles.
Weâre in for a long season with annoying fans who can only enjoy something if their favorite ship kiss and fuck each other. Sigh. Nobody knows how to enjoy a damn story without it.
A suggestion for all the folks harassing you: watch the show unfold in real time. Enjoy what the creators have offered (or not) at the intended pace. Then pick it apart after.

Iâve definitely slowed down on what Iâm willing to answer, i.e. I will only talk about things that Iâve already talked about, things other reviewers and screeners have talked about, and will debunk false information if people bring it to me. Too many people are complaining about the episode in my inbox. I disagree with a lot of writing choices this season but I do not hate the episode. I think Lestat's narration is refreshing and fast-moving in a way I am capable of enjoying. Let's agree to disagree here. And I don't think this season wants to portray Louis as a liar, but you have to actually watch and have patience.
Astonishes me how one episode has everyone acting crazy. Itâs EPISODE ONE for goodness sake. Youâre not supposed to have the entire narrative of the season spelled out for you right now.

Guys, can you... relax? It's only episode one. You know it gets better. I never expected them to be together and on good terms instantly so I don't understand why you are being so dramatic.
Do many of the episodes play out this way with such a lack of Louis? I was at least expecting them to honor the co-lead status and give us as much screen time as Dreamstat got but Iâll be okay with them holding back on him here (to create that feeling of distance Iâm assuming) if heâs a significant ON SCREEN presence later on.
Once again, you are rushing. There's gonna be more Louis and he is much more present in season 3 than Lestat and Dreamstat in season 2.
âWhy canât Lestatâs story be like Louis?â
Because heâs a different character who we all know to be a mess. Iâm so confused why everyone is shocked by their different personalities seeping thru their narratives.
Are you guys like mentally ok?
Why are we rushing to get to plot points in the very first episode? Why are we shocked Lestat is narrating and the center of it all? Why are we shocked heâs talking about 2026 things in a modern timeline?
Why do you guys act like this is your first day on Earth?
People having very mixed reactions amongst the fanbase, some also not forming their own opinions and just piggy backing onto others dislikes (which are opinionsânot fact.)
The show still sits at a 100% with 22 reviews so, either the fandom over reacts or critics lie.

Finally, someoneâs saying it! I thought I was the only one who found this weird. Every time a new photo of Assad and co. pops up, I feel like all Iâm reading about is sex. A little âRPFâ here and there is fine, but the extent to which this is happening is simply not normal anymore. Assad, for example, canât even hug his longtime friend (who also has a girlfriend) without people immediately sexualizing it. On Assadâs BIRTHDAY. I mean⌠come on. But the worst are those who want Sam and Jacob to cheat on their partners with each other
Fans donât know it can get weird because it âcomes with the territoryâ but could you imagine being at work, youâre engaging normal conversation with a co-worker and someone passes by and says âAw you guys should kiss!â
Iâm not âoutlawingâ RPF. AZ does it himself! Iâm just saying if you canât see certain people simply engaging in basic, NORMAL HUMAN conversations, especially of opposite gender or just genuine platonic friendship mannerisms (Jacob/Sam) thenâŚâŚ.

We donât have to normalize invasive behavior though. Fans treat these people and any celebrity for that matter, like zoo animals.
