Shattered Memo of the Day
MTMTE Tailgate
So I got to reading the new MTMTE the other day, and it was time for Tailgate to get his Memo.
The young Autobot was definitely more than expected. Loving, young, still way too innocent⌠a great disadvantage in war, but he makes up 90% for it in bravery and determination. He stopped Tyrest, despite dying.
And these new Outlier skills will make a more interesting plot twist.
And let me say, it;s obvious that the Tailgate/Cyclonus ship is VALID.
I mean cygate was basically confirmed two issues ago :3 they'd conjunx enduras.

Laughing Rodimus pats his desk for Tailgate to join him. This bout of mirth feels good but itâs better to hear the blue and white mech trading quips with him again. Â
âAnything that may raise my internal temp!â He complains, âI think he liked carrying me everywhereâ.â The captain cuts himself off when he remembers to who is complaining then reaching down to off Tailgate help up on the desk.
âLetâs watch some trashy alien movies.â
"Sounds like fun!" Tailgate jumped up to sit beside Rodimus on the desk. "Drift was worried about you. I don't blame him. Maybe this is a little overboard but it's good that he cares. "
The entire Lost Light was resting. Or most of it anyway. The hallways were dim, nobody walked the halls. It was quiet. Tailgate couldn't sleep. He hadn't been able to recharge properly for weeks. Tonight was especially bad. He kept having flashbacks to the museum, the torture, the fear, it still haunted him. He refused to go talk to Rung about it because he didn't want to acknowledge it happened. He needed to get out. He needed air. He headed to the main bridge. He recorded a note so anyone would know where he went. "This is Tailgate. I'm...not doing so hot right now and I need some time to myself. I'm reachable via comms and I'll be around. I just need some time away. I hope you understand. " He left the recording open as he held his hover board in hand and punched in some coordinates to a hover park he liked. The bridge opened a moment later and Tailgate walked through without a thought. When it closed behind him he froze. It was dark and the familiar hum of a ship surrounded him. This wasn't a skate park. So where was he then? He got on his hoverboard and moved silently through the ship until he reached what looked to be the bridge. His visor brightened and widened as he saw a familiar silhouette. "Cyclonus!?"

He hasnât seen this mech since his rescue. He tried his best to smile as he approached, though he was cautious. âHey. Tailgate, right? Hi.â Had they even formally met before this? Awkward.
Tailgate was caught off guard when a voice spoke to him seemingly out of nowhere. He spotted the little human and gave him a soft smile via brighter optics and a curved visor. âYeah thatâs me. Hi!â He greeted back
âIâve seen you at movie night. Hiro right?â
He smiled and looked up at the other. He nodded. âThatâs me. Itâs good to finally meet you.â He hadnât really spoken to Tailgate before. After having rescued him, Hiro wondered if it was important. He smiled all the same. He didnât even know if this mech knew he had helped save him. âSorry⌠I meant to finally introduce myself to. How, uhm⌠how are you?â
Tailgate sat down so he felt like he wasn't towering over Hiro as much. "I'm doing ok. First Aid says I should go talk to Rung. He's probably right. Sometimes I have nightmares but they're going away. I never thanked you or Allen...or Ten..."

but...but....
I just like to think sometimes, when Cyclonus is staring out the window, arms crossed like an ultimate grump⌠Tailgate will come over, tap his arm and wait for him to look down.
      He sees this cute little face and bright visor. Tailgate doesnât say anything right away but steps back to give Cyclonus room to kneel down to his level.
      Once level, Tailgate will lean in and nuzzle their cheeks together. A little hot breath escaping the holes in his mask as he sighs and Cyclonus hugs him.
      Tailgate returns the hugs by wrapping his little arms around Cyclonusâ neck and cuddling him some more.
