I always try to keep a few DeArmond gold foil equipped guitars kicking around, and when it comes to the Rocket line of Harmonys, the triple pickup H59 model is easily my favorite. So many great sounds when selecting “ALL” on the rotary selector switch and dialing in each individual volume and tone knob to taste. 1956年に製作された テスコ製のフルアコの特注品です。 ワンオーナーでずっと所有されてきた固体で、現在78歳のご紳士が大学入学の際に、親御さんにお願いして買ってもらったものだそうです。当時、ギブソンのL-5が欲しかったとのことですが、高級車が買えるような値段であったため、国産のテスコの特注品ならということで許しが出たとのことです。 1946年にアヲイ音波研究所としてスタートしたテスコは、1952年からエレキギターの製作を始め、1956年には日本電波工業と名前をかえ、エレキギターの生産で名を轟かすようになりました。 本器は1955年に発売されたEP-14をトップ単板、サイドバック単板にし。パーフリングを入れたりポジションマークをいれたりしています。ボディは当時、やはりアーチトップギターメーカーとしては技術力があるとされていたナルダン社が製作したのではないかと思われます。
