here’s the thing. this isn’t a simple disagreement. they don’t disagree about which ice cream flavor is the best. they disagree about whether or not, and the extent to which marginalized people should be treated like shit. piers morgan is a racist, homophobic, misogynistic individual. his beliefs, influence, and platform pose a direct threat to every marginalized group he routinely berates. calling beliefs that can get people hurt of even killed a mere “disagreement” is an oversimplification. when the well-being of other people are involved, it’s no longer merely an issue of dissimilarity of beliefs. her “look, we can talk and get along!” is a reflection of her privilege she has as a wealthy, heterosexual white woman in america. his beliefs [for the most part] have no impact on her. so this whole thing really falls flat and is not a good look
