Is it really THAT hard to figure out your gender? Some of you are seriously overthinking it. It's like you know but don't want to know. There is a word for that: denial. Come out, my sexy slut, and live your best life. It doesn't include hiding or feeling shame. It involves lots of gender euphoria.

My hope for you this year is that you will do something positive for yourself. Go to that pride event, come out in a safe space to a trusted and loving friend, let yourself dress up and explore and grow in your gender expression and identity, and even go on that first date.

Also—and not to sound too much like your auntie—but remember, safety comes first. Your doctor or Planned Parenthood can help you get tested for STDs and recommend ways to avoid getting infected in the first place nasty diseases (including PREP). Use protection.
